Holy Cabbage Patch Kid, Batman!

So I read about this documentary filmed in the UK about dolls called “Reborns”. Apparently the dolls look like real babies and have a very serious following. These things breathe, burp, cry, and dirty their diapers like an actual newborn. Some of these things even have a heartbeat. The documentary follows a few of these women around who claim that they love the fact that they can satisfy their maternal instinct without the commitment.

One of the crazy hags women says she has spent almost $30,000 on her obsession. She has 9 dolls and is planning on getting another one. She claims, “I don’t see any of my girls as real babies. I know they’re dolls. I’m under no illusion but it’s just where I haven’t got children I guess there is still that female instinct in me”, but, yet, she gives her dolls bottles filled with fabric softeners because it looks like real milk, buys it clothes, and takes it to the park, I’m just saying.

Thomas Jones and Meagan Good were out and about at a Headliner Market Group event at KARU&Y last Thursday. My sources say it was a double date with Sanaa Lathan and Chicago Bears’ DE Wale Ogunleye. Still no word on whether Ms. Good sported a purse or not.

America’s Next Top Jailbird?

So, Elyse Sewell from America’s Next Top Model: Cycle 1, and her fugly boyfriend, Marty Crandall from The Shins, were arrested on Friday night in Sacramento for domestic abuse. Elyse wrote on her livejournal:

On the drive home (home?) from Albuquerque to Portland, my ex-boyfriend got shitfaced and roughed me up in a Sacramento hotel. I escaped from the room through a blitzkrieg of violence and talked to hotel security, who called the fuzz.

Because he had a bite mark, inflicted in self-defense, on his arm, Marty told the police to PRESS CHARGES OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AGAINST ME. Now I am a felon. Jailors. America’s Next Top Modelfans, all. As the warden took pics of my bloody knuckles for evidence (!!!! evidence!), he quipped, “So there goes that hand modeling job, huh? What’s Tyra going to say about this?” And here is how I was summoned from the holding cell for a strip-search, complete with a thorough plumbingof the boodissy: “Hey, Supermodel! Git over here!”

Have we learned nothing from the crazy astronaut chick with the diaper, ladies? I don’t know what they’re teaching at University of Arizona Law School but Miss Arizona contestant Kumari Fulbright, 27 decided it was ok to gather up a few male friends, including an ex to help kidnap and torture her 24-year-old ex-boyfriend. Fulbright held the poor boy for 10 hrs before he broke free.

A law school student and former beauty queen who has posed for a racy calendar while brandishing a weapon has been accused of kidnapping, biting and threatening a former boyfriend with a handgun.

Kumari Fulbright, 25, who is midway through her second year in law school, faces a long prison term if convicted of kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated robbery and two counts of aggravated assault. In the Dec. 18 indictment, Fulbright is accused of holding and torturing her 24-year-old ex-boyfriend in early December with the help of three other men, including another man she had previously dated.

This chick was a two time Miss Arizona contestant and an intern for the US District Judge Raner Collins. I mean really, what the hell did he do to her? Did he not see the crazy glimmer in her eyes? After saying she had to go take a shower, the two men who helped her, ex-boyfriend Robert Ergonis, 46, and his brother Michael, 44, burst in the house with weapons accusing Arnold of stealing some of Fulbright’s jewelry. They then tied him up and took him to yet another guys house where Larry Bruce Hammond, 40, got in on the torturing. 10 hours later, the captive boyfriend finally managed to man up, get a hand free, and grab Fulbright’s gun. Of course it went off movie style, miraculously not injuring anyone before he finally got away.

Fulbright and Hammond were caught, arrested and charged, but the Ergonis brothers ran for the border, and cops are searching for them in Columbia as I type. Fulbright can be seen in May in the 2008 calendar for Subguns.com, which appropriately showcases women in bathing suits holding guns. I kid you not! Fulbright is pictured holding an HK 51 sporting a shiny black bikini. How long do you think it will take before this movie premieres on Lifetime?

Diddy and Friends Hit the Small Screen

For those of us who didn’t catch it on the great white way Lorraine Hansberry’s Raisin in the Sun will be on ABC February 25, 2008 at 8pm in all its made-for-tv glory. The all star cast includes Diddy, Sanaa Lathan, John Stamos, Phylicia Rashad, Sean Patrick Thomas, and more.

Madea Does Star Trek 2008

I’m not much for Star Trek nor Tyler Perry movies but I suppose this little tid bit is still worth mentioning. Tyler Perry will play a human running the head of Starfleet Academy. The movie is due out December 25, 2008 and also stars sex pot Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura and directed by J.J. Abrams. Note to Eddie Murphy: get your cross-dressing game up!

Halle, Where’s Gabe?

Halle Berry received the Desert Achievement Award at the 19th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival for her movie “Things We Lost in the Fire”. And with Halle about to pop any day now the ever gorgeous model boy toy Gabriel is still MIA. The jury is still out but I personally think she may have devoured him black widow style as soon as she started to show.

Another Spice Girl Down

After Emma “Baby Spice” Burton took a spill during a Vegas show last month, Mel B, too, has sprained her ankle. Hers is due to having a bit too much bubbly this past New Years Eve:

Speaking to the crowd at the start of their first show of 2008 at the O2 Arena, Geri crowed: “Mel B got so drunk she fell down a flight of stairs and twisted her ankle, so she won’t be busting the moves tonight.”

One fan said: “Scary was certainly much more reserved. It was clear the injury was affecting her and she couldn’t gyrate around the stage like normal.”

 That’s all fine, well, and good but Geri really didn’t have to tell all her business like that, geez louise!
